Case Studies
The added difficulty of changing doctors rooms to counselling rooms, and various other locations meant that a significant amount of time was wasted searching for patient charts. Glanmire developed a bespoke software solution to this problem. This eliminated the need to search for the patient’s record on the computer.
Our solution uses RFID technology. An RFID tag in the form of a label was positioned physically to the inside of the chart. The hospital staff member scans the chart on the small RFID reader attached to the computer, resulting in the patient’s details being vidible on a computer. This single action pulled up the patient’s details, recorded the location, date, time and user location – all of which were now tied to the physical location of the relevant computer. The multidisciplinary team could now immediately see where where the charge was.
Glanmire provided a cost effective solution at 1/10 of the cost of other RIFD systems in the markeplace. Whilst the others were standalone systems the added benefit of the Glanmire software solution facilitated the integration of the patient’s record to the computer, automatic search of patient records. In keeping with our focus on customer needs, Glanmire developed a solution which was significantly better and at a significantly lower cost.

As Castlebrook grow and evolve, we continue to provide them with innovative solutions including a customised CIMS (Castlebrook Information Management System) in the mid twenties. The long life cycle of the product is testimony to the resilience of our Applications and the Claris FileMaker platform on which our applications are built.
During Covid, the company had to find new ways to work remotely. Glanmire developed a streamlined workflow solution to allow payments to be processed and approved remotely resulting in reduced payments processing time by over 25%. Castlebrook also integrated our Documentation Management product so approvers could view documents directly on the Approval screen without needing to navigate elsewhere or lose focus on the task. (One platform for everything.). This resulted in a reduction of time spent on payments approval by senior personnel of over 35%.
